The library will be closed on Monday, February 17, in observance of Presidents' Day.
We will reopen on Tuesday for our regular hours.
Effective, Wednesday, March 18, 2020, the Pittsfield Public Library will be closed until further notice.
The health and safety of our community, patrons, and staff is our main concern during this time, and we are closing to help stop and prevent the spread of COVID-19.
We will continue to monitor this evolving situation and plan our reopening date accordingly.
Please wait to return any library items you have until we reopen.
There will be no overdue fines on library items while we are closed.

There will be a special meeting at the library
on Wednesday, April 8, 2020, at 6:00 p.m.
to discuss the library staff returning to work.
The library will be doing a soft reopening on Friday, May 29, from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
We will be closed Saturday, May 30,
but will reopen for our normal weekly hours on Monday, June 1.
We will be limiting the amount of patrons in the adult library to 10 people at a time and in the children's library to 10 people at a time.
Please note that there will be no restrooms available to the public.
Computer access will be limited to thirty minutes and only in the adult section of the library.
We also request that masks be worn while in the library.
Please be patient with us and each other as we work to keep our staff and patrons safe, and we're looking forward to seeing you all again!
The library will be closed on Friday, July 3, and Saturday, July 4, in honor of our nation's birthday.
