FALL LIBRARY STORY HOUR
Fall Library Hour is just around the corner at the Pittsfield Youth Library!
We will be having a Tuesday class and a Thursday class. The Tuesday class begins Tuesday, October 11 and the Thursday class begins Thursday, October 13.
Each class will meet once a week for eight weeks, ending December 6 and December 8.
We will not have Library Hour during the week of Thanksgiving.
Both classes are from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Pittsfield Youth Library. Please use the side door off Adams Street as the front door of the library will be locked.
Library Hour is for children ages three (potty-trained, please) through five years.
For more information or to sign your child up, please call the Pittsfield Youth Library at 217-285-5232. Reserve your spot soon as space is limited.
Notice: Your child's participation in any Pittsfield Youth Library programs or events implies your consent for them to be photographed or videotaped during the program. Photos and videos may be used on our website, Facebook page, or on other library materials.

The library will be closed Friday, November 11, in honor of Veteran's Day. We will reopen on Saturday for our normal hours of 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
We would like to take this moment to say a heartfelt "Thank you" to all of our veterans.

Find out more »Giving Tree for Seniors
The Pittsfield Public Library is sponsoring a Giving Tree for Senior Citizens.
The tree will be up from November 18th through December 19th. There are 25 tags to be filled so please help these most deserving seniors. When taking a tag from the tree, please take it to the front desk first so we can write down your name and the tag number.
This year, if anyone would like to leave a monetary donation, the library will pick a gift for you.
All gifts need to be returned in a gift bag by December 19th.
We have a list of gift suggestions available at the library.

The library will be closed Thursday, November 24, and Friday, November 25, in observance and celebration of Thanksgiving Day. We will reopen for our normal hours on Saturday, November 26.
We wish all our friends, family, and patrons a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving holiday! And thank you for supporting your local library! We could not be here without you.

The Pittsfield Youth Library would like to invite families to the library, Monday, December 5, from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m to visit Santa Claus and color holiday cards for recipients of the library's Senior Citizen Giving Tree.
There is no cost and parents are asked to accompany their children.
We hope you will join us as we celebrate Christmas at the Youth library.
