Find out more »Since New Year's Day falls on a Sunday this year, the library will be closed Monday, January 2, in observance of the holiday. We will reopen for our normal hours on Tuesday, January 3.
As our New Year's gift to you, we have mini stick-on 2017 calendars. Drop by and pick up one or two for yourself and a couple to share with friends.

Find out more »Spring Library Hour is just around the corner at the Pittsfield Youth Library.
There will be a Tuesday class and a Thursday class. The Tuesday class begins Tuesday, February 14th, and the Thursday class begins Thursday, February 16th.
Each class meets once a week for 8 weeks ending April 4th, and April 6th.
Both classes are from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Pittsfield Youth Library.
Please use the side door off Adams Street.
Library Hour is for children ages 3 (potty-trained) through 5 years.
For more information or to sign up your child, please call the Pittsfield Youth Library at 217-285-5232 to reserve your spot as space is limited.

Food For Fines - Support our local food pantries and clear your library account!
Once again, the library will be offering our patrons the chance to clear their overdue fines by donating non-perishable food items to be collected for our local food pantries.
For each unexpired, in-good-condition, non-perishable food item brought in between April 1, 2017, and April 30, 2017, $1.00 will be subtracted from your overdue fines.
All collected food items will be distributed to our local food pantries.
Only unexpired, in-good-condition, non-perishable food items will be accepted.
Food For Fines does not apply to Lost or Damaged library materials.
