The library will be closed Thursday, November 23, and Friday, November 24, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.

Find out more »10th Annual Giving Tree for Seniors
Once again, the library is sponsoring a Giving Tree for Seniors. Gifts collected will be distributed to area seniors who have no remaining family members or no family in the area.
Drop by the library and pick up a tag from the front desk, buy a gift, then simply return it in a gift bag to the library before December 18th, to help brighten a senior's Christmas this year. The library staff will deliver the collected gifts to the recipients before Christmas.
We have a list of gift suggestions at the library to give you shopping ideas.
If you don't have time for additional Christmas shopping this year, you may donate money for the Giving Tree, and the Library Director will purchase a gift for a recipient in your place.
Again, please have the gifts or money to the library by December 18th.

Closed for Christmas
The library will be closed Saturday, December 23, through Tuesday, December 26, 2017 in observance of the Christmas holiday.
We will reopen for our normal hours on Wednesday, December 27.

Closed New Year’s Day
The library will be closed Monday, January 1, 2018, in observance of the New Year holiday.
We will reopen for our normal hours, Tuesday, January 2, 2018.

SPRING LIBRARY STORY HOUR
Spring Library Hour is just around the corner at the Pittsfield Youth Library.
There will be a Wednesday class and a Thursday class. The Wednesday class begins February 14th, and the Thursday class begins February 15th.
(The Wednesday class is currently full, but there is plenty of room in the Thursday class.)
Each class meets once a week for 8 weeks, ending April 4th, and April 5th.
Both classes are from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the Pittsfield Youth Library.
Please use the side door off Adams Street.
Library Hour is for children ages 3 (potty-trained) through 5 years.
For more information or to sign up your child, please call the Pittsfield Youth Library at 217-285-5232 to reserve your spot as space is limited.
