2018 YOUTH SUMMER LIBRARY CAMP
The Pittsfield Youth Library will have Library Camp Monday through Friday, June 18th through June 22, this year.
There will be two age groups each day.
The first class is from 9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. for children who have completed Kindergarten, First, and Second grades in the past school year.
The second class is from 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. for children who have completed Third, Fourth, and Fifth grades in the past school year.
Children must be registered to attend and the camp is free. However, children must have a library card to checkout books. Library cards are free for Pittsfield residents, and non-residents may purchase a three-month student card for $8.50.
This year's theme is "An Adventure Awaits!"
Please call 217-285-5232 or come by the Pittsfield Youth Library to register your child for camp. Space is limited to twenty-four children per class so call today!
Our hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 10:00-5:30; Tuesday and Thursday 1:00-8:00; and Saturday 10:00-3:00.

The library will be closed on Wednesday, July 4, 2018, in observance of Independence Day.
On July 4, 1776, the thirteen colonies declared their independence from England, an event which led to the formation of the United States.
Each year on July 4th, also known as Independence Day, Americans celebrate this historic event.
Closed Friday morning for in-service training
The library will be closed for two hours this Friday morning, August 3, for a staff in-service training session.
We will reopen to the public at noon.

Library closed on Labor Day
The library will be closed Monday, September 3, 2018, in observance of Labor Day.
We will reopen for our normal hours on Tuesday, September 4, 2018.
